Switzerland’s central location in the heart of Europe makes it easily accessible (within a few hours’ travelling time) from all major European centres and cities. Many international airlines fly to Zurich, Geneva and Basel Airports, from where there are frequent rail links to Zurich, Berne, Lucerne and Interlaken.
Guests from overseas can also reach Switzerland via Munich Airport (Germany) and Milan-Malpensa (Italy). From Munich, Lufthansa operates direct flights to Berne Airport. Berne is also served by direct flights from Brussels (British Airways), and – in winter – Southampton and Birmingham (Flybe). In addition, Switzerland can be reached from Berlin and other German cities by ICE direct rail services.
